Hey everybody! Madhavi here! I know i haven't posted since the last few months because I've been busy. But from now you'll hear from me regularly.
i wanted to let all of you know that i'm now going to post tutorials on how to do a Tanjore painting, how to start a sketch and other art related tutorials. Well, i'd like to start with the most basic lesson...... how to prepare "muck". Muck is the most important thing in a Tanjore painting, it is often used to give a 3D effect to components like crowns, jewelry etc.
Muck contains Chalk powder and Arabic gum of proportions 2:1 respectively. All you have to do is mix these well to get a perfect consistency. You can get these stores that sell Tanjore supplies. Don't worry it might seem hard to get these but i'm here to help you out, you can get these from stores like the Gurubharan Tanjore supplies, you can Google it for more information.
That's all for today, you'll hear from me soon.
