                                                       PADMAVATI AND VENKATESHWARA

Hi Every one This was my Second Project of Tanjore painting. The specialty of  this painting is I used pure American diamonds for the jewelry of lord Venkateshwara and Padmavati. As there are more detailed work for Lord Venkateshwara 's ornaments.

I would like to suggest  to the viewers who face difficulty during muck part , sew the muck in a sewer so that you can get the details of the design perfectly.

I took me 2 months to complete this painting. I hope you all liked it. Bye  :D

Padmanabha swami with Sridevi and Bhudevi

This painting of Padmanabha Swami with sridevi and Bhudevi is Tanjore Mix Media. One of my friend showed me photo of this picture and I got an idea to do in Tanjore . In this painting I used acrylic colors for . the background and poster colors for the body and face. In this painting I used pure pearls for the ornaments of Padmanabha and Sridevi and Bhudevi.  The Adishesha (Snake with five heads ) is fully Embossed  to highlight the painting. ya like other Tanjore painting I had to face minor problems with the muck,  as this was a full 3D painting .

This was my third challenging project of Tanjore Panting, RAM PATTABHISHEKAM . Usually the ancient painting was in portrait style, but I wanted to try in Landscape style. In this painting you can find a lot of detailed work in the temple design. When it comes to the temple design we use brush for muck work. I used 200 Gold foils in this painting. The size of this painting is 4'x4'.I used  Poster and Acrylic for the back ground colour.

Hope you liked my work. you can ask queries about traditional art, just leave a comment or contact me at: kvmadhavi.73@gmail.com

Hi everyone!! Madhavi here!

The picture that you can see above is my first Tanjore Painting. It is a portrait of baby Krishna eating butter.
It took me 2 weeks to finish this. It was a very exciting experience for me to learn Tanjore Painting,as this was my first Tanjore Painting. In Tanjore painting we use Jaipur stones and pure 24 carot Gold Foils. When I was learning how to stick the stones and especially while I used the Gold foil it was very interesting , and I hope every person interested in learning Tanjore Panting will feel very excited . When it came to the painting part it was tough to handle Poster colors as they dry very fast. When we paint the face it has to be perfect, as in all Tanjore Paintings the faces of all gods and goddess are round and chubby, and that is why these paintings have a unique place in the History of Art.

Hope you all like this. And you can ask your queries about traditional art, just leave a comment of contact me at: kvmadhavi.73@gmail.com

Tanjore painting

Tanjore Paintings are the major form of classical south Indian paintings from the town of Tanjhavoor in Tamil Nadu. This style of painting has been followed widely by the people in the southern Tamil Nadu for past two centuries

Tanjore Paintings are known for their surface richness, vivid colors, compact positions and especially for their glittering gold foils used to give them their rich look. Essentially serving as devotional icons, their subjects are of most paintings are if Hindu gods and goddesses and saints. This paintings are notable for their adornment in the form of semi precious stones or Jaipur stones, pearls and pure 22 carrots of gold foils. They add beauty and culture to the variety of surroundings and decor.

This is my first Tanjore painting. Tanjore paintings are done on solid wood planks. These paintings are large and the faces are round and divine.
